How customers know when it is their turn

Updated November 2026

Summary: A paper ticket tells a customer their number. It does not tell them when to come back. This article explains the nezaam ticket link: what the customer sees, why it needs no app or phone number, and what the desk keeps on record.

The gap a paper ticket leaves

A paper ticket answers one question: what is my number? It says nothing about how long the wait is, so people hover near the counter to be sure they hear their name.

The fix is not another screen in the lobby. It is to put the queue on the customer's own phone.

What the customer sees

When the front desk issues a ticket, it also produces a private link. The customer scans the QR code at the desk and the page opens on their phone.

The page shows the ticket number, the position in the queue and a live countdown. One tap enables sound. From then on the phone buzzes and vibrates when the turn is close and again when it is called.

The page has to stay open for the buzzer to work, so treat it as something to keep in a pocket rather than a background notification.

No app, no phone number

There is nothing to install and no account to create. The ticket link opens in any modern phone browser and works without the customer sharing a phone number, a chat account or an email address.

Because the link is private and expires with the ticket, it does not leave a permanent trail tying a customer to a visit.

What the desk keeps

Issuing, calling and serving are all recorded in the statistics per counter. When a customer says they were never called, the desk can check what happened instead of arguing about it.
